Pigeon Forge Adventure

Pigeon Forge is a tourist town located about a 1½-hour drive from Settlers Mountain. The ride to Pigeon Forge is a very scenic drive over the Great Smoky National Park and into Tennessee. There are some fun things to do in Pigeon Forge that the whole family can enjoy.

The main attraction is Dollywood theme park, one of the most popular family attractions of the South. It will remind you somewhat of a Disney theme park on a much smaller scale with a lot of country charm added in. It is in a beautiful wooded location and the kids will enjoy the shows, rides and some of Dolly’s history.

The town runs along a long, five-mile strip on the highway that has attractions, rides, amusements, museums, tons of gift shops, Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction and more. If you are familiar with Kissimmee, Florida, it will remind you of that kind of town. They also have a trolley that has stops all along the highway that you can jump on and off.

Pigeon Forge has educational attractions and museums such as the Dinosaur Walk Museum, the Elvis Museum, the Smoky Mountain Car Museum and Wonder Works, an upside-down interactive museum sure to be a fun stop on every family vacation.

Other popular things to do in Pigeon Forge include outlet shopping, miniature golf, bowling, go-karts, laser tag, arcade games, thrill rides and indoor skydiving.

For car enthusiasts, Pigeon Forge hosts some very cool old car shows. If you’re not a classic car enthusiast, we suggest you steer clear from that area during the car shows. The streets will be jammed with old cars cruising up and down, day and night. The car shows will typically be about 3 days long. If you are an old car buff, then you are in for a treat.  Head over for a day and see the show and come back to Settlers Mountain to enjoy the peace and quiet. Classics and Rods are welcome at Settlers Mountain.

Ask your Settlers Mountain associates for good times to visit Pigeon Forge.
